Groups praise renewed efforts at immigration overhaul As Congress once again takes up immigration legislation, at least three associations said they were pleased that lawmakers appear to be making some headway in the politically thorny issue. A bipartisan coalition of senators unveiled their proposal Monday, and President Barack Obama is expected to release his own proposal. In response, the National Restaurant Association said it was encouraged by new efforts "to fix our broken immigration system."
